#CentOs 6.x addon installs from a terminial

------------------ Install NANO, java, xRDP, NTFS access, and VLC ------------------
------------------ login to terminal as su and then (copy and paste) ------------------

yum -y install gnome-system-monitor

yum -y install nano

yum -y install jre

yum -y install epel-release

------------------ Then Install ------------------

yum -y install xrdp tigervnc-server

------------------ makesure it starts ------------------

service xrdp start

------------------ Set for auto-start ------------------

chkconfig xrdp on
chkconfig vncserver on


------------------To find the latest Webmin version from your "host" computer type------------------

http://www.webmin.com/download.html

------------------ Then Add NTFS and SAMBA Access ------------------

yum -y install ntfs-3g

yum -y install samba

yum -y install samba-client

------------------ Then Add FTP Server ------------------

yum -y install vsftpd

------------------ Add VLC media player repository ------------------
------------------ On 32-Bit Systems ------------------
rpm -Uvh http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el6/i386/nux-dextop-release-0-3.el6.nux.noarch.rpm
------------------ On 64-Bit Systems ------------------
rpm -Uvh http://li.nux.ro/download/nux/dextop/el6/x86_64/nux-dextop-release-0-2.el6.nux.noarch.rpm

------------------ Install VLC media player ------------------

yum -y install vlc

------------------ And the firewall utility ------------------

yum -y install system-config-firewall

------------------ Add the DNS server if needed ------------------

yum -y install bind bind-utils
nano /etc/named.conf

listen-on port 53 { 127.0.0.1; any; };
allow-query { localhost; any; };
allow-query-cache { localhost; any; };

/etc/init.d/named restart
chkconfig named on

------------------ Then Install sysbench ------------------

yum -y install sysbench

------------------ Then to test the CPU with sysbench ------------------

sysbench --test=cpu --cpu-max-prime=10000 run
sysbench --test=cpu --cpu-max-prime=20000 --num-threads=2 run

------------------ Then to test the GPU with glxgears ------------------

glxgears
